Abstract Backgroundpage threeI applied the Zigzag filter to the image created on the previous page. Choose Filter > Distort > Zigzag, and use a 100 % Amount, and 7 % Ridges to get the effect shown below. The filter was applied to Layer 1. A filter affects the selected layer, only, so you can see the straight, unfiltered lines of the base layer showing through. |

Ill make an entirely
new image, now. Same technique, different colors. The base layer, shown
below is in a pale, lime green. I added a layer on top of that using a medium
blue. Again, I used Web safe swatch colors. It takes time to get a pattern of colors you like with the angle gradient tool, but there is no limit to how long you can try. Clicking is a lot easier than painting. Multiple examples of the complex images created with these two layers are shown on the following pages. Continue on page four |
