Use the same steps outlined on the preceding page to make a stroked outline of the shapes, and then collapse the points on the path. Recreating the shape, with the points already in place makes it a little bit easier for you to get a feel for how this tool works.
     There are many more details to using the pen tool. You can find information in the User Manual, or from Online Help. I think most of the other path editing techniques, such as the selecting, joining, grouping, and transforming methods are fairly easy to understand . It’s the creating, and editing of points that’s the hard part. I hope this tutorial has been a help. I know what a bear this tool is to learn.
