I am going to do four different things to this picture. The first is the one that I think worked best, probably because it still looks like a regular black and white photo. I just chose Image > Adjust > Invert.

Please note that these v. 5.5 tutorials are not my best. I knew a lot less then than I do now. I leave them up because a lot of people are still using v. 5.5.
